Below is the show notes written for the show.
(intro over some music)
In the Studio (and I use that term loosely) tonight we have special quest Jackie The Beast. Say hi. Jackie is Kaylie’s longtime friend and my non-sexual wife. Baby Boy Kammy also joins us since he is still staying at our house…I mean lavish studio. Ryan from Channel ATE! Also joining us tonight is Kurt Sasso from TGT Web Comics.
On the show tonight we have AN EXLCUSIVE song recording by John and Kaylie, a cover of The Moldy Peaches ‘Anyone Else But You’. And speaking of The Moldy Peaches, they are the spotlight band for tonights show. After we bastardize one of their songs we will let you hear them in all their glory.
We are also going to get an update on our current running poll on wether John should get his nipples pierced, talk to Jackie about how she got hers done, again, recently then segue that into thoughts on wether parents should pierce their littls boys ears or let them decide when they are older.
I also think it would be advantageous for us to go over the pros and cons of me joining the Air Force, and see what the people in studio think.
If we have time, we will get to some Q&A but before this intro drags on any longer, let’s take a listen to the first ever DUET of John and Kaylie…we need a ‘band name’. For the record we waimed to record and make this Terribly Awesome!
(“Anyone Else But You” song plays)
So what did you guys think of the song? It’s the first time John and I recorded anything together.
Ryan, you where ‘in studio’ with us last night as we recorded this epic song. Only you could only hear the vocals as we sang, no guitar. What was THAT like?
(next topic of Piercing)
(john) So Jackie, you recently got your nipples pierced again. What was THAT like? Any story to tell?
(on to ear piercing)
(kaylie)Ok so I was at the tattoo and piercing parlor with Jackie here while she was getting her nipples pierced. We where chit chatting along and I mentioned how two and three year old boys SHOULD NOT have their ear’s pierced. The piercing guy then tells me that it is fine, no big deal for boys to pierce their ears that young. But society says different. He then says ‘wel who is society?’ and proceeds to tell me that I need to be more open minded and to let little boys have an ear pierced. I mean girls are one thing and totally ok. Well, what do you think John?
(john)I think our society sets the bar for girls. Girls are EXPECTED to get their ears pierced, and the opposite for boys. NO little girl when grown up will look back at themselves in pictures with pierced ears and think ‘shit, I wish parents hadn’t done THAT!’ Tons of little boys grow up and say this.
(kaylie) Girls wear Jewlry. I agree that no girl will regret it. Why get a boys ear pierced? because YOU like it. It’s parents over exherting their parental rights.
